It has been a crazy few days and I have missed about 3 days of the challenge so far but I am here today Day 16......
As I think about
everything that is going on in this world today, I ask myself this question, is
there still hope? My response to that is, yes it is if we just have faith and
believe that things can and will get better. There are wars and rumors of wars,
children killing children, people taking their own lives for reasons only they
are aware of and natural disasters taking people out by the thousands and then
some. The economy and joblessness is causing people pain, sickness and
depression. With everything that you may be experiencing in this life, I
promise you that life is worth living and that you will make it through to the
other side. To me it is all about perspective and your viewpoint. One person
can see one thing one-way and another person can see it another way. It is not
what happens to you in this life because; let me tell you plenty of things will
happen to you. You may experience the loss of a loved one, the loss of a job, a
broken marriage, severed friendships, financial catastrophes and so much more.
I ask you how will you deal with it, what will your reaction to it be. You must
first decide that nothing on this earth is worth you losing the authenticity of
who you were masterfully created to be. You were designed to be great, to change
lives and serve humanity from a place of genuine love, kindness and compassion.
You were given special talents, skills, gifts and abilities to share with the world
while at the same time empowering yourself to be the best you that you can be. Paulo Coelho
of The Alchemist
said, “When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we
strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.” My
hope for you is that you become better than you are today and every day after
that. I hope that you get your heart’s desire and that you live out loud ever
day of your life. What does hope mean you may ask? It means a feeling of
expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. I hope that in a chaotic world
like the one we live in today, that you can smile often, love daily and dream
bigger than you have ever dreamed in your life. “They say a person needs just
three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do,
and something to hope for. My wish for you is that you have something to hope for
every day of your life, that you have a reason to wake up early and a purpose
for your life. It is all up to you how you choose to show up in this world with
all its high and lows, good times and bad, triumphs and tragedies. “The things
you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for
others remain as your legacy.” I hope you leave a legacy that generations will
be talking about, long after you have taken your final rest.
