The Deliciousness of Food!

I missed days 12 & 13 of the challenge due to some unavoidable circumstances. I have been somewhat out of pocket the last few days but I am back and what do you know a subject I love to talk about: FOOD. God knew what he was doing when he created food for our delight as well as a way for us to gather the family together around the dinner table to create memories. I believe we are missing dinner with the family that to me is a cause of the problems with parents and children today. When I was growing up we had a dinner time, and everyone sat at the table or you just did not it. While we were eating, we shared how we were feeling, what our dreams where and how our day was. That is not done that much today, due to the increase in technology and other things that have grabbed our kids attention. There are so many different kinds of food that are masterfully created around the world, and there are just as many ways of cooking it. I love to try different foods, and one of my dreams is to travel the world first and foremost to eat delicious indulgent foods. I am conscious about what I eat because my temple must be taken care of but, on days like today I make an exception to the rule. It is my belief that you can eat what you like, just not all of it. The food was created for our nourishment and enjoyment. I love to cook and more important than that I love when people enjoy the food I cook. I am an excellent cheesecake maker, and I love share these delicious treats. I had a great day on this Resurrection Sunday; I was invited to dinner at my niece’s house, and I was totally looking forward to it. There is nothing more enjoyable than food and family. My niece is an exceptionally excellent cook, and we are both Food Network junkies. When I walked into the room, she was busy in the kitchen created her delicacies with so much love and thought as the great hostess she is. The menu included: ham, roast beef, collard greens and cabbage, macaroni & cheese, stuffing, brussel sprouts, eggplant, and cod parmesan, pineapple upside down cake and a few other things. Once everything was ready, I do what wives do, and that is serve my King first and once he was content, I took care of myself.  As I smelled the numerous scents flowing around in the kitchen while making my plate, a smile came across my face. I sat intently at the table and began to indulge in each treat one at a time savoring each and every flavor until I had finished, and then I decided that I desired more greens and ham. After I had finished enjoying such a great meal prepared my such an excellent hostess, we all enjoyed the after dinner conversation followed by the pineapple upside down cake, which was superb, I think. The reason I say I think is because lately my taste for sweet treats has significantly diminished to almost nothing on one hand it is great, but I am or was a lover of decadent desserts.
